Don’t forget to add Calumet baking powder to your shopping list when planning to bake your favorite cakes and pastries. Calumet baking powder is the most popular brand of baking powder, having been established and loved since 1889.

When we were kids, we did try making our own home made pancakes didn’t we? We had all our ingredients and materials and I’m pretty sure we were all excited. I remember this one time when I was making my pancake and forgot to include baking powder. The result was a flat and dry sort of pancake which I had a hard time eating. Have you ever had this result too? The next time I made my pancakes, I made sure there was baking powder around to ensure it rises and have that consistency we all love.

Most Filipino cooks use the Calumet baking powder

Calumet Baking Powder Product Description

Calumet baking powder is white and powder in appearance which is soluble in water. It is a leavening used in making cakes and breads. Baking powder is important to creating these desserts for it produces carbon dioxide when mixed with any type of liquid causing bubbles to form in the flour mixture eventually resulting to expansion and rising. Without baking powder, breads, pancakes and cakes often appear flat, stiff and compact.

Calumet baking powder is famous for its Red Indian head logo. Look for this when shopping.
